A 35-meter Green Marine racing ketch named Sojana has been sold in a deal brokered by Nicolas Marchand of Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage, who represented the seller, and Hank Halsted of Northrop & Johnson, who introduced the buyer.
Delivered in 2003 as a custom high-performance ketch, Sojana was conceived by renowned racing yacht designers Farr Yacht Design with the goal of creating the longest and fastest yacht operable by the owner and a few friends with a small crew. In cruising mode, she sails with a core crew of five, yet she can readily accommodate a full race crew when needed.
Her last listed price was €3,500,000.
Sojana underwent a complete cosmetic and technical refit in 2016, with additional major upgrades in 2022 and 2023, including a new engine and servicing of all generators. She now features a fresh North Sails 3Di sail wardrobe, Hall Spars carbon rigging, and a B&G H5000 electronics suite.
Built to dominate regattas, Sojana boasts a proven racing pedigree at events such as the St. Barths Bucket, Antigua Sailing Week, and the Palma Superyacht Cup. Under former owner the late Sir Peter Harrison, she earned an impressive competition résumé.
Inside, designed by Ken Freivokh, the interior evokes classic yachting with dark mahogany panelling and gold-plated fittings. Accommodations are for eight guests across four cabins: two doubles, a twin, and a forward master suite, plus a small children’s cabin.
The main saloon is warm and understated, featuring built-in seating, comfortable sofas, and a bright dining area. Onboard amenities highlighted by brokers include air conditioning, Apple TV, a SONOS sound system, and a sparkling-water machine.
According to BOATPro, the yacht has been on the market since October 2023.
Technical specifications include a 124 GT gross tonnage, a beam of 7.7 meters, and a draft of 4.5 meters. Her cruising speed under power is around 10 knots, while sailing delivers higher performance, with speeds described as several knots faster than under power.
Sojana’s last asking price remained €3,500,000.
